Sex confronts some of the darkest parts of ourselves. The parts we want to push down or ignore or hide away. There’s this idea that in order to be accepted into the mainstream, porn should only display sex that’s safe, comfortable and positive.

We made these three films about some of the more complicated emotions, jealousy, the call of the void, the urge to be to be reduced to nothing. The part of human psychology and sexuality that lean towards oblivion. For me, this is as worthy of exploration and documentation as what makes us feel good. The best pleasure is always complex.
