Sex is transference of energy; an exothermic reaction. The marks are product. A way of distilling intangible energy into physical permanence. Skin is the carrier and the canvas.
Marking another body is intensely personal. It leaves a physical memory of your presence. They carry you around with them - your actions, your mouth, your hand, your fingers for hours or days or months afterwards. It forces a confrontation of both the strength and fragility of your body, fleshy red and pink, under the skin.
These reactions remind us we’re alive, they demand a visceral - over cerebral - response. The blood rushes to the surface and you listen to the aching thud of the pulse in your neck and your head and between your legs.
